1. Overview
DataWizards.ai ("we," "us," or "our") provides commercial data products derived from publicly available government sources. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information in connection with our data products and website located at datawizards.ai.
2. Data We Sell — What It Is and Is Not
Our primary product, the U.S. Commercial Fleet & Carrier Intelligence Dataset, is derived exclusively from public records published by the U.S. Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). This data is:
- Publicly released by the U.S. federal government under the FMCSA Open Data Program
- Commercial/business entity data — it describes federally registered motor carriers (companies and sole proprietors operating commercial trucks), not private individuals in a consumer capacity
- Not sold for consumer credit, employment screening, or tenant screening purposes (and is not subject to the Fair Credit Reporting Act)
The dataset includes business contact information (company name, physical address, phone number, business email) that carriers themselves submitted to the FMCSA as part of their federal operating authority registration.
3. Information We Collect From Website Visitors
We collect limited information when you visit datawizards.ai:
- Usage data: pages visited, time on site, referring URL, browser type — collected via standard web analytics (no personal identifiers stored)
- Inquiry data: if you contact us via our contact form or email, we collect your name, email address, company name, and message content solely to respond to your inquiry
We do not use cookies for advertising. We do not sell, rent, or share visitor information with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Snowflake Marketplace Customers
If you access our data through the Snowflake Marketplace:
- Billing and payment processing is handled entirely by Snowflake, Inc. under their Provider and Consumer Terms
- We receive transaction records from Snowflake for billing reconciliation (no payment card data)
- We may contact you at the email associated with your Snowflake account for support, product update notices, and renewal communications
- We do not share your contact information with third parties
5. How We Use the Data We Collect
We use information collected from visitors and customers solely to:
- Respond to inquiries and provide customer support
- Process and fulfill data subscriptions
- Send product update and data refresh notifications
- Improve our products and website
We never sell, rent, or share customer contact information.
6. Data Source Licensing
Our dataset is built on U.S. government public records. The FMCSA releases carrier and vehicle data under the FMCSA Data Dissemination Program with no restrictions on commercial use, redistribution, or value-added products. NHTSA vPIC data used for VIN decoding is similarly a public federal dataset with no commercial use restrictions.
7. Data Accuracy and Limitations
Our dataset reflects FMCSA records as of the most recent data refresh date (noted in each product version). We make reasonable efforts to clean, normalize, and enrich raw government data but make no warranties as to accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. FMCSA records may contain errors or outdated information. Users should verify critical information independently.
8. Security
We use industry-standard security practices to protect data stored in our Snowflake environment, including role-based access controls, encrypted connections, and audit logging. We will notify affected customers promptly in the event of a security incident.
9. Children's Privacy
Our services are directed exclusively to businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under 18 years of age.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will post the updated policy with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of our services following a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
